Mouse or Mouth?

I really like to read books. These are two of my favorite books right now. I like to read a book before I go to bed. One of the books teaches me where my ears and nose and toes are at and stuff like that. So I practice pointing to different parts alot.

The other book is about animals. It is about dogs and cats and frogs. It has a page about a little animal that goes "squeak, squeak". It sounds like Daddy says "mouth" when he is reading it to me so I always take out my paci and open up my mouth real big so he can see. He just laughs and says no, it is a "mouse". They sound so much alike that I get confused!

Trying to be a big girl

If you haven't seen me in awhile then you wouldn't know that I'm getting bigger and bigger.

I have a few more words that I say. I can say "eye" and "nye nye" (night night) pretty good. I shake my yes or no and I point at stuff and try to talk about it all of the time. I'm learning new stuff about me. I can show you my belly, feet, nose, eyes, mouth and hair. My favorite is to show off my belly. I pull up my shirt to show people. Sometimes I even try to pull up other people's shirt to see their bellies. I tried to do that to Grandma but she didn't like it.

I'm a good helper now too. I like to help put away toys or put away laundry. I can take stuff to Mommy or Daddy from the across the house if you tell me to do it. Or if you tell me to throw something away, I will put it in the trash can.


I like to take pictures for the camera. I was posing for pictures with my Valentine doggy that I got from Gram and Poppy. But...


...Riley likes the camera to take pictures of her. Sometimes it is hard for her to share the attention.


But I like playing with Riley though and she takes good care of me. Riley talks to me alot. She likes to help me eat too. She is pretty good about including her little sister and playing with me. I try to do the same things that she likes to do. If she climbs on the bed, then I want to climb on the bed. I saw her getting her fingernails painted so I wanted Mommy to paint my fingernails too. See?


I'll be 18 months pretty soon. Mommy and Daddy can't believe that I'm getting so big.

Riding Offroad

Today was a very nice day outside and the sun was awake too. So we went outside to play. We got to ride the jeep for the first time. I've just been using the jeep like a toybox with a radio since we got it for Christmas. I had forgot that you could even drive it!

Since Riley is bigger Mommy and Daddy let her drive. Riley did a good job driving for her first time. We didn't hit anything. Daddy thought they were we going to run over Wrigley but we didn't. It was fun but I'm waiting until I can get behind the wheel.

Landon's Birthday Party

My cousin Landon had his first birthday party today. This is a picture of Landon. Now he is as old as me - 1 year old. I went to Gram and Poppy's house this morning while Mommy and Daddy went to the Y. Then we went home and got ready for the party so I didn't take a nap. I was tired at the party but I still kept going. I was crying for a little bit. But I was excited to help Landon open his presents. He didn't know much about opening presents. He got a remote and he just wanted to play with that so Riley and me had to help him out.

Then I felt better after I had a little bit of Daddy's cake and ice cream. We got out Landon's new toys and played with them. We got him a Little People airport. He got some good Toy Story stuff too. I put on the potato's glasses. They were a little small but I like wearing glasses.


Birthday parties are fun. Playing with toys and eating cake and ice cream are two of my favorite things. Mommy and Daddy always say that I am a picky eater but I do like cake. My favorite things to eat are chips, granola bars, pizza and cake. All the stuff that is good for you, right? Well, we have another birthday party to go to next week. I'm ready for it to be my birthday again too.
