I Can Stand

Okay so it is only for like five seconds at a time and I don't like to do it, but I can! Mommy is always trying to get me to let go of her fingers. I don't really want to let go, but everyone cheers for me if I stand. Grandma was here and she got to see me do it. Daddy took a video, but I would not do it that long on the video. Daddy is still working on getting the video to load on the computer. I will let you know if he can get it.

I love to stand up and hold on to things. I like to cruise around tables, chairs, couches, and my activity table. I really love pushing around my lion. I will keep working on the standing thing and let you know how it goes.

The Basement is Back

We finally got the basement back and it is so great. We have all kinds of new toys. Riley says that they are not really new, but new to us because we have not seen them in almost a year. I have never really seen them before because the last time we were able to play in the basement I was only weeks old. We have this great tower thing that has balls roll down it. The balls jingle. I really like them, they make such a great noise. We also have this thing that is like a piano. I like to play music on it. It has Pooh, Tiger, Eeyore, and Piglet on top of it. They taste really good. Daddy worked really hard to get the basement back in order. We are so lucky that he did because now we have all this room to crawl around. I love it. I can't wait until I can crawl up those stairs too!

Visiting Grandma and Grandpa

We had a lot of fun when we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa. Tia and Tio were there too. Tia brought a friend with her a friend with her too. His name was Laeth. Riley kept on calling him Laef. His name sounded pretty hard to me so I didn't even try. We had a lot of fun playing with Tia, Tio, Grandma, and Grandpa. Tio gave me a new toy. I really like it because it lights up and makes noise. We even went to see Carl, Rina, Rachael, Madden, and Carl Michael. It was the first time we met baby Madden. He is so much smaller than me, but his mommy says that he likes to eat so he will probably catch up to me. While we were there we did a lot of stuff.



One day we went to a Cubs game. It was so hot. It was the hottest day of the year. Not even a breeze from the lake could keep us cool. We sat way up high. I think that Daddy called up the upper deck. At one point mommy took me all the way back down to the bottom so that we could go to the first aid stand and cool off in the air conditioning. After mommy changed my diaper and fed me I fell asleep. It felt really good there. Unfortunately Mommy and I didn't get to enjoy much of the game. However we did go back up and get this great picture.



One day we went to the beach. I think that it is really called the Dunes. We put our feet in the lake and we thought that they were going to fall off because the water was so cold. I saw some crazy people actually getting in the water and swimming around. Mommy said that the water reminded her of sitting in a whirlpool full of ice. Even though we didn't get to really get in the water Riley and I had fun in the sand. I think Riley even ate some of the sand, but I didn't. That girl is crazy who knows what is in that sand.



On night we took a walk in a park by a pond. People were fishing. We just wanted to see some ducks. There were a lot of ducks and geese. They were all getting in their last swim before it was time for bed. I think that it would be so much fun to be able to float on the water like they do. If I want to float on the water I have to sit in my raft and I don't really like doing that much. I like it best when Mommy holds me. It was a nice place. I can't wait til we go back and I can walk around and look through the bars like Riley.

Swimming and A Party

We went swimming today at Meghan's pool. We had a good time. I really don't like being in my raft. I would rather have mommy hold me. Riley did a really good job with her arm swimmies. The water feels so good when it is so hot outside. After the pool we were so beat so we came home to take a nap.

We have a big birthday party to go to tonight. Judd is 4 and Nash is 1. I have to go see what this birthday party thing is all about. Riley keeps talking about her birthday and that she is going to have a Cinderella cake. I wonder what kind of cake I am going to have. I am not really into much right now. I will probably just have a 1. I mean Riley keeps telling me that she is going to be 3 and that I am going to be 1 so that is what I will do. I guess. Maybe I should just leave the baking to Mommy. That oven can get really hot and she always makes Riley and I stay far back when she is messing with it.

Daddy leaves tomorrow for a trip with his friends. I can't tell you where he is going because it is a surprise. I will have to tell you after he gets back. All I know is that he said it is someplace that I can't go with him. That is okay because we are going to have a girls weekend. Maybe Mommy will paint my nails. Riley likes to have her nails painted.

Well I better go I have to get ready for my party. There may be some cute boys there. Don't tell Daddy I said that.

Around and Around

Around and around I go. I really like this walking thing. Okay for the record I am not walking by myself yet but I like to cruise around the activity table. It used to be Riley's and Mommy said that I like it just as much as she did. It plays all kinds of music and has a computer on it. I tried to post a blog on it, but I couldn't get the web page to come up.

You might notice some changes I have made to my blog page. Kaidyn's Mommy helped me. I also made a few updates to Riley's page. She might try to take credit for it, but I am the one that sat through the tutorial and learned how to make them look pretty. I changed the outside wall paper, added a count down to my birthday, added a welcome sign, and finally my nine and ten month pictures. Hope you like the changes.

We went to play at Brady and Coopers house today. It was a lot of fun. Brady just kept on hugging me and playing with me. He is going to be a great big brother. Cooper is just 2 1/2 weeks old and I bet Brady can't wait until he is as big as me. It probably won't take long because his Mommy said that he likes to eat like I do.

Ten Months and Doing It All

I know that I say it all of the time but I really am so sorry that I have not blogged in a long time. I will update you though.
The month of June was really interesting. It all started with an ear infection and visits to a couple of doctors. Poppy first told mommy that I had an ear infection. Then Dr. Howell said it was a double. Then we went back to Dr. Howell for my nine month check up. Then we went and saw Dr. Forwith and he told Daddy and Mommy that my ears had so much fluid that my ear drums were not even moving. Then at the end of the month, on the 30th, we went and saw Dr. Forwith again and he put tubes in my ears. And my oh my was I in heaven after that. I was like a whole new girl I tell ya. I could hear things on a whole new level. I mean I just loved to hear myself talk after that. I just blabbed on to mommy and myself for like two hours straight. It was great. I could hear clearly. I didn't even know what I was missing until I had that surgery. I would have blabbed to Riley, but she was not here. She was in Florida with Gram, Poppy, and Tyler. Mommy and I were supposed to go to but I had to have my surgery and I am telling you what I am glad that I did.

Other big news. I said da da for the first time. He just loves it when I say it to. So now I really try to say it especially when he is around. It just really makes him smile at me and I just love making him smile. I said it before Riley left for Florida. Daddy did not believe it at first and then he said he would take it and count it. I am telling you what he better take it. I am doing the best I can and you know what else that was before I had my surgery and I could hear clearly.

I also started to wave. Daddy thinks that is really cool. Tonight he was cutting the grass and he stopped to wave to me across the yard and you know what I decided to just wave back to him. Mommy was so excited too even though I was not waving to her.

I have also pulled myself up in my bed. I don't really do it all the time I have only done it once on my bed, but I have pulled myself up on the couch and the little stool that is in Riley's bathroom.

One of my biggest accomplishments has been walking around. Okay I only really walk behind the lion, but that is progress right? I have this walking thing that is a lion and it rolls. I put my hands on the handle bar and away I go. I mean I am not really fast right now, but I am working on it.
