Life With Julian

So we still have my baby brother, Julian Joseph (that is what I call him to people). I like to give him and kisses and settle him down when he is crying.

When you have a baby you don't have to go to work.  So I stay at home with Mommy and Julian.  But we don't stay home much.  We go to the doctor and Gram's house and we go to pick up Riley at school. I like playing on the playground at her school.  When we pick up Riley we have a full seat in Mommy's car.

I like to tell people how Mommy feeds the baby.  I say "Do you know how my Mommy feeds our baby?" and point to where she does it.  I said that to a man at Chick-Fil-A but Mommy didn't like it. But that is how he eats. When Julian gets bigger I'll show him how to eat chicken nuggets, bananas and Lucky Charms.

Gymnast In Training

When I go to SIGS and do swimming and gymnastics.  I like it because I get to eat snacks while Riley is swimming.  And I get to color or play LeapPad.  Here are some pictures of me doing gymnastics.  I was wearing my smiley faces shirt.

I am good at flipping around the bar.

My teacher is Miss Chris.  She helps me with my flips.

At the end of gymnastics you get to jump on the trampoline and jump in the cheese pit.  I like to climb up on the mats and dive in the cheese pit like it is the pool.

Puzzled

I really like doing puzzles.  I get out a puzzle every day.  Sometimes I do the puzzles two, three, four times.  Mommy says that I am really good at putting the puzzles together (anything 24 pieces or less and she knocks it out pretty fast) .  I like doing it to see what the pictures are.

Riley had a puzzle with three parts.  She did one part and wanted us to finish when  she went to school.  I did the other two parts.  Mommy just had to help me with a couple pieces.

I surprised Riley when she came home. I covered it with a blanket.  She was excited.

Things I Say

3 year olds say some funny things.  I am 3.  Here are some things that I have been saying.

"I am a big girl now because I don't suck on the toothpaste anymore."

Mommy and Daddy always try to get me to eat food like them.  My new way to say no is to tell them "I don't eat every food that you eat."

I like to tell jokes too.
"Knock, knock."
Who is there?
"Bananas!"
Bananas who?
"Do you have bananas on your head?"

"Knock, knock."
Who is there?
"Dinosaurs"
Dinosaurs who?
"Watch out!  You have a big dinosaur on your head!"

My knock, knock jokes always have something on your head because that is funny.

Baby Brother

Mommy finally got that baby out of her tummy!  I thought it was going to live in her tummy forever.  But he came out and he was a boy.  I used to say it was a boy and then I changed it to a girl.  But when Daddy asked me when I saw him I said it was a boy.  His name is Baby Julian.  He is little and cute.

I love holding him.  I love kissing him.  I have a hard time keeping my hands off of him.

The baby and Mommy lived at the hospital.  I liked going there to look for the babies in the window.  But most of the time they weren't there.  Daddy said they were with their Mommy and they were in the window at night.  But at night I was sleeping so I didn't see them too much.  My favorite part of the hospital is pushing buttons for the elevator though.  Grandma made me and Riley take turns so we wouldn't fight.

Now Julian lives with us at home.  I am going to be a good big sister for him.  He cried when Mommy gave him a bath and I said "Don't worry your big sister is right here."  I like taking care of him.  I like to put his paci back in his mouth. And I control the swing when he is in there. When he gets dressed or gets his diaper changed and bring my stool so I can see.  I'm learning too.  When I hold my dolls I make sure I support the head.  See I already know how to take care of babies.

New Room

Me and Riley got a new room.  It is really my old room with new colors.  The walls are pink and blue.  And we have a new bed that has 2 beds in it!  But Riley and I like to sleep in the same bed.  We slept in the bottom bed and in the top bed.  It is fun to have 2 beds because you can sleep where you want.  And I got Mommy to take a nap with me on the new bed too.

We have the same room because the baby has the other room.  Daddy put the baby bed in the baby bedroom.  The baby bed is not like our bed.  It looks like a cage.  Babies cry a lot at night so they have to sleep by themselves.  But when the baby is bigger they can come into our room too.

Winter Vacation

Guess where I was this week?  I went to Florida with Gram and Papi!  Riley was in school so she didn't go. She went to Florida without me before. So it was my turn.  We stayed in a nice house.  I had my own room with a TV.  I liked watching TV in my bed.  It was like I was in Mommy and Daddy's bed at home.  There was a kitchen and we cooked food.  I even helped squeeze out some orange juice to drink.

"Florida has a pool!"  That is what I told Mommy and Daddy.  There was a pool and I went swimming a lot.  I even got a tan.  And there was an alligator by the pool. Did you know alligators make a good bed?

I did a bunch of stuff.  We went to this place with a bunch of rocket ships (Kennedy Space Center).  And I watched a lot of movies on Gram's iPad.  I even learned the numbers to unlock it.  They bought me some legos.

I had a fun week spending time with them. I was joking and singing. I would say "hey Gram" and "hey Papi".  When they said "what?", I said "nothing".  It was a funny joke.  And we sang the "Who Let The Dogs Out" song.  That song is so funny.

I was not home for Balentine's Day so I sent Mommy and Daddy a video from Florida.  It was a long drive but I went home today.  I was excited to see Mommy and Daddy.  I kept hugging Mommy and her belly.

I will see Florida again in the summer...
