Visiting Grandma and Grandpa

We had a lot of fun when we went to visit Grandma and Grandpa. Tia and Tio were there too. Tia brought a friend with her a friend with her too. His name was Laeth. Riley kept on calling him Laef. His name sounded pretty hard to me so I didn't even try. We had a lot of fun playing with Tia, Tio, Grandma, and Grandpa. Tio gave me a new toy. I really like it because it lights up and makes noise. We even went to see Carl, Rina, Rachael, Madden, and Carl Michael. It was the first time we met baby Madden. He is so much smaller than me, but his mommy says that he likes to eat so he will probably catch up to me. While we were there we did a lot of stuff.



One day we went to a Cubs game. It was so hot. It was the hottest day of the year. Not even a breeze from the lake could keep us cool. We sat way up high. I think that Daddy called up the upper deck. At one point mommy took me all the way back down to the bottom so that we could go to the first aid stand and cool off in the air conditioning. After mommy changed my diaper and fed me I fell asleep. It felt really good there. Unfortunately Mommy and I didn't get to enjoy much of the game. However we did go back up and get this great picture.



One day we went to the beach. I think that it is really called the Dunes. We put our feet in the lake and we thought that they were going to fall off because the water was so cold. I saw some crazy people actually getting in the water and swimming around. Mommy said that the water reminded her of sitting in a whirlpool full of ice. Even though we didn't get to really get in the water Riley and I had fun in the sand. I think Riley even ate some of the sand, but I didn't. That girl is crazy who knows what is in that sand.



On night we took a walk in a park by a pond. People were fishing. We just wanted to see some ducks. There were a lot of ducks and geese. They were all getting in their last swim before it was time for bed. I think that it would be so much fun to be able to float on the water like they do. If I want to float on the water I have to sit in my raft and I don't really like doing that much. I like it best when Mommy holds me. It was a nice place. I can't wait til we go back and I can walk around and look through the bars like Riley.
